Bio
Rebecca has a diverse background in the field of historic preservation and is driven by a great love of historic buildings and landscapes. Her experiences range as vastly from restoring an historic log mining camp at 11,000 feet in the San Juan Mountains of Colorado with HistoriCorps, Inc. to working as a project manager/conservator in Philadelphia for Kreilick Conservation, LLC, a company that specializes in sculpture and architectural conservation. She has worked on some of our nation’s greatest historic treasures including the Grant Memorial, The Second Bank of the United States, and the Cooper-Hewitt Smithsonian Museum of Design. Prior to joining the Ford House team as the Director of Historic Preservation, Rebecca managed an architectural and design archive at Ball State University and provided research assistance, resources, and educational sessions to support and advocate for community revitalization projects. Rebecca has a Bachelor of Arts in Management and World Culture from Wittenberg University, a Master of Science in Historic Preservation from Eastern Michigan University, and an Applied Associates of Science in Building Restoration and Preservation Technology from Belmont College. Rebecca is a professional associate level member of the American Institute for Conservation, and a previous recipient of the Bill Lane Fellowship from the Australian National Maritime Museum.
