Cemetery Conservation – $150.00
May 17 & 18: cemetery conservation techniques and hands-on training at the Methodist Cemetery, Newell Street, St. Clairsville, OH
Registration includes workshop materials, equipment use, and lunch (both days)
Participants are encouraged to wear comfortable work clothing, closed-toe shoes, and bring sunscreen and insect repellent.

UPDATE: Unfortunately we are unable to host the cemetery conservation workshop. Alternative plans are being explored. If anything can be arranged we will share that information. Refunds will be issued to all that have already registered.

Cemetery Conservation

The Preservation Trades Network will be holding a pre-conference workshop May 17-18, 2022 at the Methodist Cemetery in St. Clairsville, Ohio. James "Rusty" Brenner, owner of Texas Cemetery Restoration LLC, and Sarah Marie Jackson will be leading the workshop and bring decades of experience in cemetery conservation.

Participants will get the opportunity to practice hands-on conservation treatments on several stones. The main objectives of the workshop will be to demonstrate:
- working safety in a cemetery
- documentation
- cleaning stones
- resetting
- minor repairs and patching
